One day you open Windows Store and search for an app, but you cannot find it. There are many reasons why you might be unable to find an app from the Windows Store. However they must have been the two reasons below:
The first one is that your Store preferences might be hiding apps.
The second one is the app isn’t available in your country or region.
Now in this tutorial we will guide you through every step to make the hidden app appear in your Store.
METHOD 1 – Change your Store preferences
Open your Windows Store
> open the Charm bar
- Move the cursor to the lower-right corner of the screen or
- Press Windows logo key + C or
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen
And then click/tap on Settings
The Settings charm for Windows Store will appear > Click/tap on Preferences
Check the preference “Make it easier to find apps in my preferred languages” and “Make it easier to find apps that include accessibility features”
If their settings are YES, now you need to click/tap on it to switch to NO > close the Store and re-open it to check the result.
If their settings already are NO, you need to move to the 2nd Method below.
METHOD 2 – Change your PC region
Press Windows logo key + I to open the Settings bar > click/tap on Change PC settings.
Or swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings > tap Change PC settings.
Click/tap on Time and language
Click/tap on Region and language. At the Country or region option, click/tap on your current setting to change it to your desired location from the drop down menu.
Trick: The most number of apps are available in China.
Now close the Store and re-open it to check the result.
If you tried all of the methods listed and are still unable to find apps, you can try clearing the cache for the Windows Store on your PC.
Open the Run dialog box by:
Press Windows logo key + R or
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search > type in run in the search box, and then tap Run
