The size of BlueStacks RAM depends on your computer RAM so please make sure that your system has sufficient amount of RAM to allocate greater amount of RAM for BlueStacks.
Don’t set the new size of BlueStacks RAM to more than half of your computer RAM, which will keep your PC stability unchanged.
My BlueStacks RAM size is 739 MB and I will increase it to about 850 MB.
You can install and use the Smart System app to display the RAM size like it shows in the image below.
Navigate to the folder C:\Program Files\BlueStacks
and run the file “HD-Quit.exe
” to stop all BlueStacks services and processes.
Press Windows logo key + R
to open the Run
Type in regedit
> click on OK
to open the Registry Editor > click on Yes
if prompted by the User Account Control.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BlueStacks\Guests\Android
On the right side pane, double click on the Memory
Change the Base
option to Decimal
Input the value you want to allocate (in megabytes) for RAM into the Value data
field > click OK
> exit Registry Editor.
Note: If we enter the value of 1024 (1 GB), the BlueStacks RAM size will be increased to 850 MB.
Now launch your BlueStacks application and check the size of your new RAM. If you do not see any changes, restart your PC and re-check.
