When installing BlueStacks on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, many users report that they got an error says that their graphics card is not compatible with BlueStacks and the installation failed.
For those who use the Split Installer, the message says that “Error 25000. BlueStacks currently doesn’t recognize your graphics card. It is possible your Graphics Drivers may need to be updated. Please update them and try installing again.”

If BlueStacks is installed from the Offline Installer, the message will have no error code, just be “BlueStacks currently doesn’t recognize your graphics card. It is possible your Graphics Drivers may need to be updated. Please update them and try installing again.”

The solution is so simple; just update your Graphics card driver. BlueStacks then will be installed successfully.

However if your graphics card driver is already the most updated, and you still cannot install BlueStacks, the following tips will be the answer for this issue.

1. Download the Offline Installer (.msi file) from BlueStacks server:
Version 0.8.0.2997:
http://cdn.bluestacks.com/downloads/0.8....97_REL.msi
Version 0.8.1.3003:
http://cdn.bluestacks.com/downloads/0.8....03_REL.msi
Version 0.8.1.3011:
http://cdn.bluestacks.com/downloads/0.8....11_REL.msi
Latest version:
http://cdn.bluestacks.com/public/beta-1/...up_REL.msi

2. Download and install Orca - a Microsoft database table editor for editing Windows Installer package (.msi) files.
Mediafire link: https://www.mediafire.com/?r1icphvay68ashc
Softpedia link: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Authoring-t...Orca.shtml

3. Right click on the installer (.msi file) > select Edit with Orca

4. Navigate to LaunchCondition > click on “Installed OR PhysicalMemory >=1024” condition > press Delete > click OK. This will help to eliminate the requirement of at least 2GB of RAM. So you can install this version of BlueStacks on machines with only 1GB of RAM.

5. Navigate to InstallExecuteSequence > click on “CheckMsiSignature” condition> press Delete > click OK

6. Navigate to Property > double click on the TRUE value of GLMODE > replace by FALSE > press Enter.

7. Click on the Save button [Image: FixedError25000ofBlueStacksonWindows817_zps819cf183.png] Then close Orca.

8. Now double click on the msi file to install BlueStacks.

End enjoy BlueStacks version 0.8 on your Windows 8.1 machine without updating Graphics card driver.

Hi ayanah,

It might be the permission problem. Please go to the folder C:\Program Files\BlueStacks and run the file “HD-Quit.exe”, then right-click on the Start BlueStacks shortcut and run it as Administrator.
If it does not help, try to give your user account full-control of C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks folder.
(Follow steps in this thread How to Grant Full Permission to a File or a Folder in Windows 8.1)
