Bing is the official search engine of Windows 8.1 and whenever you search for something on your PC, the search engine connects to Bing to get online search results beside the offline/internal results from your computer. However, more and more users do not want to use this feature, so in this tutorial I will show you the way to disable Bing in your system.

How to stop using Bing in Search engine on Windows 8.1

Step 1: Press Windows key + I to open the Charms Menu – Settings. Click on the option “Change PC settings”.

Step 2: Navigate to Search & apps section in the PC settings menu.

Step 3: Under the section “Get search suggestions and web results from Bing”

Click/ tap on the switch button to turn it to “Off”.

That’s it.
